Creating music is my passion. One of the best parts about making music is the feeling when you successfully, and subtly communicate ideas--a rhythmic hit, a feel change--during a performance. This is when the band members are feeding off each other's energies which, in turn, invites the audience to do the same with the band.

Making music is a language itself. When you have a band that's able to penetrate all language barriers to have a room understand what's happening and immediately access one's heart... that's what makes music so powerful. That's why I love what I do.

I am a freelance drummer covering all styles of music from Jazz, Funk, Rock & Roll, Country, Soul, and Pop. I also run my own ensemble, The Brendan Thomas Combo, which is made up of some the finest musicians in Chicagoland. We perform for weddings, parties, private events, and more.
